Tony Estrella, Artistic Director
Born in Pawtucket, Tony has been an actor and director with
The Gamm/Alias Stage since 1996. He has appeared in more
than 20 productions including Rock 'n' Roll, Much Ado About Nothing (2009 & 2000), Awake and Sing!, An Ideal
Husband, The Taming of the Shrew, The Pillowman, the world
premiere of Paul Grellong’s Radio Free Emerson, Enhanced
Interrogation Techniques, La Bête, The Lonesome West, Crime
and Punishment, Red Noses, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice,
Julius Caesar, The Crucible, The Homecoming, The Tempest,
Travesties, The Grapes of Wrath and
the title roles in Hamlet and Henry V. He wrote and directed a new version of Friedrich
Schiller’s Don Carlos and directed the company’s productions of 4:48 Psychosis, Romeo and Juliet, Grace, The Elephant
Man, Mother Courage and Her Children, Twelfth Night, The Beard of Avon, An Enemy
of the People, Aunt Dan and Lemon, A Child’s Christmas in Wales (2003), Hot L
Baltimore and Uncle Vanya.
Tony has also appeared in theaters throughout New England including Trinity Repertory
Company, Boston Playwrights, American Stage Festival, Wheelock Family Theatre and
The Worcester Forum Theatre. In addition to being The Gamm’s artistic director, Tony
teaches acting and script analysis at the University of Rhode Island, where he has been
on the theater faculty for the past 12 years.
Tony appeared in Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-winning film The Departed and
plays Ned Haspel in John Wells’ The Company Men to be released in 2010. His
television credits include episodes of the Showtime TV series “Brotherhood” and NBC’s
“Law & Order”. Tony is a graduate of Trinity Rep Conservatory and the University of
Rhode Island.
Yvonne Seggerman, Executive Director
Yvonne is executive director of The Gamm Theatre and the
Pawtucket Armory Association. She has been leading The
Gamm’s administration since it moved to Pawtucket in 2003.
She spent seven seasons as director of sales and marketing for
Trinity Repertory Company, under Oskar Eustis. Other positions
include: director of development for WaterFire Providence and
producer of Rhode Island filmmaker Laura Colella’s second
feature film, “Stay Until Tomorrow”, under the guidance
of the Feature Film Program of The Sundance Institute.
She served for 11 years as vice president and general manager for The Cumberland
Company for the Performing Arts. She serves on the working group of KeepSpace RI: Pawtucket/Central Falls and on
the Mayor of Pawtucket’s 2020 Commission. She is a 2004 graduate of the Omega
Class of Leadership RI. Yvonne is a cum laude graduate of Sarah Lawrence College
and has studied at Harvard Business School. An amateur dancer of Argentine Tango
whenever and wherever possible, she lives in Cumberland with her husband, Normand
Beauregard, her daughter, Irene, and twin sons, Harrison and Michael.
