Auditions
The Gamm will hold auditions for its 25th Anniversary Season on Friday May 22 and Saturday May 23 from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. Members of Actors Equity Association and Non-Equity performers are encouraged to audition, though preference for time slots will be given to Equity members. Auditions will take place at The Gamm Theatre, 172 Exchange St., Pawtucket, RI.
The Gamm is looking to cast various roles in the following plays of the 2009-2010 Season, which starts in September and runs through May:
Much Ado About Nothing by Wm. Shakespeare, directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr. Rehearsals begin Aug. 11, 2009. Runs Sep. 10-Oct. 4 and Nov. 18-29*
Romeo and Juliet by Wm. Shakespeare, directed by Tony Estrella Rehearsals begin TBA. Runs Oct. 22-Nov. 29, 2009
(*Much Ado About Nothing runs in repertory with Romeo and Juliet for these two weeks. The Gamm is looking to cast both plays with mostly the same company.)
4:48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane, directed by Tony Estrella Rehearsals begin TBA. Runs Jan. 14-Feb. 7, 2010
The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr. Rehearsals begin TBA. Runs March 4-April 4, 2010
Rock 'n' Roll by Tom Stoppard, directed by Judith Swift Rehearsals begin TBA. Runs April 29-May 30, 2010
Please come prepared with a monologue from Shakespeare (preferred), or another classic or early modern piece (The Gamm will provide a reader for Equity actors only who prefer to present scenes). The Gamm is a member of New England Area Theatre (NEAT), a bargaining unit of the Actors Equity Association. The Gamm engages Equity members under an SPT/NEAT contract.
