The Gamm Announces Auditions for Season 26
PAWTUCKET, RI (March 31, 2010) - The Sandra
Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) will hold
auditions for its 26th Season as follows:
Equity Principal Auditions will be held on
Friday May 14 and Saturday May 15,
2010 from 10 am-1:30 pm and 2 pm- 5:30
pm. Equity members without appointments
will be seen throughout each audition day, as time
permits. Non-Equity performers may also audition.
Audition slots, however, are limited. Auditions will take
place at The Gamm Theatre, 172 Exchange St.,
Pawtucket, RI.
The Gamm is looking to cast various roles in the
following plays of the 2010-11 Season, which
starts in September and runs through May. The
following roles are available:
Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet,
directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr.
Rehearsals begin Aug. 10, 2010. Runs Sep. 2-Oct. 3,
2010
Roles:
Roma and Levene have been cast.
Moss: 40's - 50's, Mid-level salesman, dark,
cunning.
Aaronow: 40's-50's, Bottom of sales ladder,
desperate and exasperated.
Williamson: 30's -40's, Office Manager, officious,
direct.
Lingk: 40's, Father and Husband. Sad, barely hanging
on.
Baylen: 30's-50's, Detective. Tough, beleaguered.
Mauritius by Theresa Rebeck, directed by
Rachel Walshe
Rehearsals begin September 28, 2010. Runs Oct. 21-
November 21, 2010
Roles:
Dennis has been cast.
Jackie: Young woman, early 20's proud, tough and
emotionally raw.
Mary: Her older half sister, 30's. Settled, mature
straightforward.
Sterling: 40's-50's. a collector, Intense, easily
confrontational a man of many and mysterious
talents.
Phillip: 40-50's, a stamp dealer, seemingly low key,
morose but highly intelligent and manipulitive.
A Child's Christmas in Wales by Dylan
Thomas, adapted and directed by Tony
Estrella
Rehearsals begin Nov 15, 2010. Runs Dec. 9-26,
2010
Roles:
ALL Characters must sing and musical ability is a
plus. All child roles will be played by adults.
Dylan: The great poet as an adult, late 30's and as a
young boy.
Mom: Dylan's Mother, sweet, harried, lovely.
Glynnis: Dylan's younger sister, impetuous,
energetic.
Jim: Young Dylan's best friend. Always in
trouble.
Grandpa: 60's, Forgetful, funny and a born
storyteller.
Aunt Hannah: Hilarious and likes more
than a little holiday cheer.
Uncle(s): 30's-50's all types. Will also play
various other characters, firemen, neighbors. Must be
versatile.
Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen , directed by
Fred Sullivan
Rehearsals begin Dec. 28, 2010. Runs Jan. 20-Feb.

Roles:
Nora has been cast.
Torvald: Her Husband 30's-40's, stalwart, upright,
caring.
Dr. Rank: 50's, Their close family friend. Broken down,
sly and wise.
Mrs. Linde: 30's, older than her years, tough but
graceful and practical, a survivor.
Krogstadt: 30's-40's, troubled by life and desperate
but striving.
Paul by Howard Brenton, directed by Tony
Estrella *U.S. Premiere*
Rehearsals begin February 22, 2011. Runs March 17-
April 17, 2011
Roles:
Actors should be versatile as several roles will be
double cast as GUARDS, JAILERS, SOLDIERS,
CHRISTIANS AT CORINTH
Paul: Has to be able to age from from 25-55. Formerly
Saul of Tarsus, a convert of Yeshua, intense,
committed, passionate and stubborn.
Barnabus: 30-50, captain of the temple guards.
Tough, Smart. Devoted to Saul.
Yeshua (Jesus): 30's Sickly. Charismatic, radiant and
sad.
Peter: Ages with Paul. Disciple of Yeshua. Practical,
very down to earth.
James: Yeshua's Brother. 20-30's. Fervent. Smart.
Mary Magdalene: 20's-30's. Smart. Tough as nails. A
survivor.
Arab Trader: 30's-50's. Smart, all business but good
sense of humor.
Roman Jailer: Imposing. Capable of great
brutality.
Nero: Brilliant. Tired. Incredibly funny and dark. A
realpolitik master and illusionless dictator.

by Christopher Durang directed by Judith Swift
Rehearsals begin April 12. Runs May 5-June 5,
2011
Roles:
Luella has been cast.

Felicity: A perfectly Nice Young Woman of 25-
34
Zamir: A charismatic but mysterious young man of
indeterminate ethnicity, dark haired, might be Italian or
Pakistani or Egyptian or Indian. 25-39.
Leonard: Felicity's Father. Strong minded, formidable,
100% sure he's right about everything. Late 40's-50's
Reverend Mike: a minister who directs porno movies.
Late 30's - 40's.
Hildegarde: A conservative old fashioned woman in
her mid 40's to late 50's.
Voice/Narrator: Male. Late 20's to early 40's. Well
spoken. Must make announcements. Also plays
Loony Tunes a hyperactive spy (must do cartoon
voices) and the suave Maitre d' sings well or
pleasantly.
Each performer will be allotted a minimum of 3
minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes. Please
come
prepared with one modern or contemporary
monologue; or any other material, including a scene
or scenes from the season's plays. (The Gamm will
provide a reader for actors who prefer to present
scenes.)
Please also provide a copy of your
headshot/resume.
Two copies of each play will be available at
StageSource's Boston office, 88 Tremont St., Ste. 714,
Boston, Mass., at least 10 days before the audition for
Equity members' perusal. Copies will also be
available at the auditions.
