Box Office Manager (full time)

Reporting to the Marketing Director, and under supervision of the Marketing Director and the Executive Director, the Box Office Manager is responsible for the oversight and supervision of single ticket and season subscriptions sales, providing superlative customer service at all touch points.

Specific responsibilities and duties include:

Box Office Supervision:

  • Process subscription, group and single ticket orders
  • Supervise box office sales for a minimum of half the theater's public performances during the run of each show
  • Oversee subscriber services, including ticketing, exchanges and renewals
  • Perform annual subscription renewal process
  • Reconcile Provenue Plus (box office software) end of day with accounting
  • Increase company value by striving for excellence in customer service
  • Staff performances with house managers and volunteer ushers

Accounting:

  • Serve as accounts payable clerk
  • Prepare daily bank deposits and deliver to the bank
  • Run daily, weekly, and quarterly reports and analyses as requested
  • Reconcile development reports and ticket sales reports against deposits
  • Assist with annual audited financial review

Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Skills required:
College degree. Excellent attention to detail, as well as interpersonal and communications skills, proficiency in standard accounting practices, basic mathematics and computer skills. Minimum 2 years experience with accounting systems and advanced database software. Excellent customer service, a calm demeanor under pressure, volunteer management and public relations skills a requirement.  Some experience in theater or arts helpful. Flexible hours: some nights and weekends required.

Accounting Clerk (part time, temporary)

Clerk needed 5-12 hours per week, starting immediately.  Job includes basic math skills, clerical skills, attention to detail.  Reporting to the Executive Director.  $9.00 per hour.  Hiring by Feb 1.  Six weeks to two months, possibly longer.  Hours flexible.
