GAMM SUMMER INTENSIVE 2020
Gamm Summer Intensive (GSI) is a professional theater training program for high- school students focused on studying and performing Shakespeare. It is for serious young actors looking to expand their skills in a professional setting, with high goals and expectations. Campers attend rigorous daily rehearsals, participate in workshops taught by working theater professionals in various fields, and perform in two Shakespeare productions.
DATES: June 29 - July 24 (Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm) with performances July 23 - 26

GSI is by audition only. To schedule a ten minute audition please email Kate Hanson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students should prepare a 3-5 minute classical monologue to be performed at the audition and bring a head shot and resume (if available). Students will be notified by email regarding their acceptance to the program within the month following their audition.

GSI Jr. introduces students entering grades 5-8 to the language, craft, and magic of Shakespeare through theater games, acting exercises and rehearsals. This week-long program culminates in a performance of Shakespeare scenes for the public on the Gamm stage. Audition not required. Limited to 15 students. Scholarships available

GAMM SUMMER YOUTH 2020
GSY is for students entering grades 3-5 who are interested in exploring the art of performance creation in a fun and supportive environment. This summer program will focus on basic theater skills while emphasizing creativity, enjoyment and personal growth. Over the week-long program young actors will expand their skills in a professional setting through activities such as mime, creative movement, set-design, improvisation and role playing which will develop individuality and group cooperation and result in a final performance for family and peers. Scholarships are available.

The Gamm partners with numerous community-based organizations such as Connecting Children and Families in Woonsocket, Central Falls Parks and Recreation Department, and Providence After School Alliance to add a creative, engaging theater component to their camp experience.
