Gamm Theatre's 'Ironbound' a gritty portrait of immigrant resilience

[PROVIDENCE JOURNAL] “Ironbound" is an especially important story now, as the plight of Darja, who fled Poland amid aggressions from the Soviet Union in the 1990s, mirrors the current situation in eastern Europe, where war has sparked a mass exodus of refugees from Ukraine and inspired worldwide humanitarian efforts.

"Ironbound" reminds us that we are a nation of immigrants and asylum-seekers, and that they are the backbone of our society,” Walshe says.
